GREAT NEWS in 2007:

A photo of the “Tribute to Barbed Wire Monument" was featured in The Farm Collector Magazine in their March 2007 issue. Barbed wire tools are often shown in the "Whatzit" section. Thanks, Farm Collector and editor Leslie McManus.

The Devil's Rope Museum has just completed an interview with "Cowboys and Indians Magazine" out of Dallas, Texas. Information and photos will be used in their article. Don't know when it will appear. Thanks C &I for your interest.

Weather prevented a personal visit from John Weiss but a phone and email interview was conducted by "Route 66 Magazine" of Laughlin, Nevada. Information about the DRM will be featured. Thanks to John, Bob Moore, Paul and Sandy Taylor for your interest.

The city of McLean recently had 43 properties registered in the National Register of Historical Places. The early Route 66 era buildings, restoration efforts and red brick streets helped the town becoming known as the most authentic Route 66 community along the Mother Road. Thanks to the National Park Service for this recognition and registration.

Have you noticed the great TV commercials featuring "Barbed Wire" and the progression of old to new Chevrolet trucks and pickups? Those ad people sure know how to catch the eye of the public, (especially barbed wire collectors). Thanks to Chevrolet for using barbed wire in their promotions.
