Al Martin Napoletano
... has always been closely associated with the barbed wire collecting hobby since the early 1970s.
He received the hobby's highest award in 1999 for Distinguished Service through artistic contributions.
Four editions of Jack Glover's "Bobbed Wire Bibles" used illustrations by Al.
The "International Barbed Wire Gazette" featured many covers and illustrations drawn by Al in the 1970s.
The more modern "Barbed Wire Collector Magazine" used Napoletano illustrations in many of its issues.
Since 1991, The Devil's Rope Museum in McLean, Texas has featured a large wall display of illustrations about barbed wire drawn by Al.
A 26 piece traveling display is provided by the museum featuring these Napoletano barbed wire subjects.

The artistry and talents of Al Martin Napoletano have contributed much to our knowledge, images and interpretations of the Old West down through the years. In addition he has provided pleasure to millions of readers who viewed his renditions of whatever subject presented and gained a visual perspective on how that incident might have appeared in person.
